Clinical Supervision for Social Work Associates by Karen Martinez, LCSW
I offer collaborative, supportive clinical supervision to help you grow your skills, confidence, and professional identity as you move toward independent practice. My style blends teaching, consultation, and reflective conversation, creating a space where you can explore case conceptualization, ethical questions, countertransference, and the real-life challenges of clinical work.
Grounded in relational, systemic, and social justice frameworks, I see supervision as more than meeting licensure requirements, it’s a space for meaningful growth. I draw from the Discrimination Model and the Multicultural Relational Model to tailor supervision to your developmental needs, with a strong emphasis on self-awareness, cultural humility, and ethical, socially responsive practice.
My background includes community-based programs, nonprofit and juvenile justice settings, and private practice. Clinically, I primarily work with adults impacted by sexual assault and domestic violence, with much of my experience rooted in the Latine community. I provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care in both English and Spanish.
I support clinicians working with adolescents and adults and am committed to helping you become a confident, grounded, and compassionate practitioner.
